Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Wandoor

Hundreds of colourful varieties of coral reef fishes can be seen in the park. Some of these are clown-fish, butterfly-fish, surgeon fish, angel fish, parrot fish, bat fish and groupers. Whitetip-shark, hammer-headed shark, manta-ray and blue-fin jack are also occasionally seen. More than 50 types of corals are found in the fringing coral reefs in the park. Some important coral varieties found here are Acropora, Pocillopora, Montipora, Leptosereis, Fungia, Portis, Tubipora and Gorgonians.

Fish Rock [ Near Passage Island ]

It offers and extremely colourful dive. The topography consists of rocky slopes, boulders and drop-offs featuring large fan of corals and plenty of sponges. Below 25 m, the rocks are covered in small bushy soft corals in numerous hues. Hard corals are not so evident. Grey and white tip. Reef Sharks are always in the vicinity as are nurse Sharks. Among the rest of the marine life are eagle rays. potato cod, large coral groupers, fusilier, suitlips, turtles, batfish, parrotfish, squirrelfish, surgeonfish, curious and friendly oriental sweetlips, yellow tangs, triggerfish, tuna, rainbow runners and many spices of trevally.

Cinque Islands

One of the best dive destinations in the island, it has clear emerald water with a visibility of upto 80 feet. The deep-dive offers a terrific variety of marine-life, including black-coral, sightings of sharks and is ideal for the experienced diver. The Cinque Islands are a pair of islands in the Andaman Archipelago, on the north side of Duncan Passage, between Rutland Island and Passage Island. They are part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Union Territory of India.

BarracudaCity, Havelock Island

This site has tons of fishes. Sometimes turtles. Mostly hard corals are seen here. Rather suitable for experienced divers.

The Wall , HaveLock Island

A small wall 50 meters long that drops in to the shipping channel near the jetty on Havelock, this is the best local site and is visited by a very large Napoleon Wrasse called Pierre, who's very friendly to divers. The top of the wall is very colorful with purple, red and yellow soft corals, alone the wall has many beautiful fans with Puffer Fish and Lionfish peering out at you and Nudibranchs trying to race around the wall. We see many octopuses and Scorpion Fish here and even Anglerfish are seen tucked into holes.

Johnny's Gorge, HaveLock Island

Just 3 minutes from Minerva ledge also visited by dolphin is the famous Johnny's gorge, divers fight to dive here, its not a big reef but most diver don't notice the beautiful colored coral because they are surround by a kaleidoscope of swirling Barracuda, Grouper, Unicorn Fish and Snappers, not to forget one of the few place to see shark on a regular basis and groups of Eagle Rays often drop in to add to the experience.Also, keep your eyes open for friendly dolphins on the surface during your sun kissed surface intervals. On the sandy parts Kulhs Rays are spotted with or without their tails.

MV MARS, HaveLock Island

This small wooden local cargo ship went down during a storm 2006, it sits upright and has become a new home to many fish which inhabited the near by reef ten meters away. It a short dive around the wreck, then on to the reef and finish back at the wreck, visibility tends to be not so good but great when it appears through the gloom.

Seduction Point, Havelock Island

A huge rock with different kind of aquatic life. Napoleons can be seen. The shallow part is full with stag horn corals and its inhabitants .
