There are lot of musuem in andaman,each has to offer something different to its visitors.With so many musuem, The Zoological Survey of India Museum nowadays doesnot fits in tourists radar for paying a visit. It is situated the same building as Zoological Survey of India office. This museum has a wide range of collection from the zoological planet. Research scientists and azoology students will find this museum very informative. Other than underwater marine life ,the museum keeps other reptiles,lizards ,butterflies, beetles,sponges, corals, butterflies, centipedes of various size and birds unique to this islands. There are preserved specimens of parakeet which are small parrot with typicallyDictionary green plumage and long tail) ,anemones , starfish and hawk with labelled displays showing species genetic inforamantion and name. It is not a recommended place to visit for tourist. The species are captured from near-by seas like the Bay of Bengal, and are preserved as per the guidelines put forth by of department of marine life in india.
